His independent thinking has made him a valuable marketing stategist, since he is capable of asking questions that, although they do sometimes rankle, seem to help cut to the heart of issues.

These include, "What's really going on here?" "Are you sure you know why your customers do business with you?" and the almost-never-popular, "Why not?"

Designer, illustrator, musician, gardener, has worked with Oatis in a variety of professional incarnations. Has served as both an agency hand and as a sole proprietor, with accounts ranging from the industrial to the sublime.
